• Right now, monetary donations and adoptions are low and animal intakes are high.  Even a few dollars could help save an animal’s life!  Stop by at 1007 Stockade Dr. or mail your donation to P.O. Box 4808, Florence, SC 29502. 
   

• If you are interested in volunteering with the Florence Area Humane Society, please come to one of our volunteer orientation sessions.  These sessions are held on the last Thursday and last Saturday of each month at 2 pm.  (You only have to attend one session.) FAHS Animal Foster Application
   

• Our new animal shelter will be located on McCurdy Road, off of National Cemetery Road.  We have broken ground and hope to start building soon.  We only have a portion of the approximately $950,000 it will take to build the new facility.  If you would like to help, send your check to P.O. Box 4808, Florence, SC 29502 and specify the donation is for the new building. 
   

• Kitten season is almost here and we will need foster homes for our orphaned kittens!  Are you willing and able to provide around-the-clock care for an unweaned kitten?  If so, please contact the shelter at (843) 669-2921 for more information.  
   

• We are in need of a cargo van!!  Do you have one or know someone who does?  Or do you want to donate money so we may purchase one?  In 2009 we sent 240 animals to no-kill rescues.  In order to transport more animals and save more lives, we must get a cargo van SOON!  Please contact the shelter at (843) 669-2921 if you are able to help, or send your donation to 1007 Stockade Dr., Florence, SC 29506 and specify that your donation is for a van.
